ABOUT ME

Christopher Ross BSC is a BAFTA and EMMY Nominated Cinematographer working internationally on Film, Television and Commercial projects.

Chris’s varied credits include the award-winning FX series Shōgun, Danny Boyle’s film Yesterday, Tom Hooper's Cats, Kevin Macdonald’s Black Sea, Christopher Smith’s Detour and Oliver Parker’s Dad’s Army. Chris’s most recent project, The Day of the Jackal, with director Brian Kirk is due for release in November 2024.

Chris has collaborated extensively with director Mat Whitecross on numerous feature, television and commercial projects including Sex & Drugs & Rock & RollSpike Island and promos for Coldplay and Take That. Chris’s first feature was with director Paul Andrew Williams, London to Brighton, and garnered several international awards including Best UK Feature at Raindance and a BIFA Award for Best Achievement in Production.

In addition to Shōgun, Chris's television credits include Trust with directors Danny Boyle, Jonathan Van Tulleken and Susanna White as well as Amazon’s sci-fi drama Oasis where he teamed up for a second time with director Kevin Macdonald. Chris worked on two seasons of the award-winning E4 series Misfits, for which he received an RTS nomination. For his work on Tom Green’s political thriller Blackout, Chris received the BSC TV Award, an RTS Award and a BAFTA Craft nomination. This was followed by a BSC TV Award nomination for the second season of the critically acclaimed Top Boy
